It has come to light that legendary producer Paddy Man has never been paid royalties for any of the songs he has produced.
In order for producers to get paid for their labor, the producer kindly requests that artists always give them credit for their surrounding rights. He feels that the money provided for the song’s production only covered studio expenses and maintenance, highlighting the fact that producers ought to be paid more.
“I have heard many claim that we are paid during production, but that’s money for studio time and upkeep,” he added.
On the other hand, Paddy Man claims that in order to begin getting royalties from collecting bodies, he is currently attempting to register every song he has written and is contacting musicians for credit.
