A few days ago, a Ugandan tiktoker based in Dubai who called herself “BabyGloria07” passed on after battling with stage four colon cancer.
During the burial arrangements and the burial itself, it was revealed that Gloria had a dream of building for the mother a house here in Uganda but she hadn’t accomplished this.
During an interview, Gloria’s mother stated that she has no house, she further cried and stated that Gloria has left her alone in this world.
This got different people emotional which led to an initiative to fundraise and collect money to build a house for the mother of the deceased.
However, shockingly, most tiktokers have come out to oppose this initiative.
A TikToker known as Nayiga Hasfah revealed that Gloria was living a lavish life style in Dubai. She noted that she has been on parties, eating nice food and buying cake to celebrate different things.
She further said that she would used that money to save and construct for the mother instead of living a lavish life.
We have seen many people on social media especially on tiktok living lavish lifestyles and living like they do not remember the life back home. However, given that most people are struggling, it is hard for one to look after your parents after you have died.
Gloria’s body was returned from Dubai on Saturday on Ugandan Airlines, she was put to rest yesterday in her village.
It is fortunate that at the time of her death, Gloria was surrounded by her friends and family that gave her emotional and financial support while she was on her death bed in Dubai.
