Minister of Energy and Mineral Development and singer Eddy Kenzo’s wife Hon Phiona Nyamutoro has been shot though rushed to hospital but no serious injuries reported.
This incident happened while she was on her mission in the western part of Uganda to curb the illegal activities in mining sector.
This was confirmed that security guard from private cement company were the ones behind it but they didn’t succeed in doing that.
In Ugandan politics there are different people that behave in different ways. Some are very selfish to find point where they want to take away the people that get in their ways from making money.
For Hon Phiona Nyamutooro, it was her lucky day at work that when they tried to shoot her she escaped and it would be something different at the moment.
The people that were behind it were arrested and more detained will be given by the police about the incident.
“Police in Kabale have arrested private security guards from National Cement Company, a subsidiary of the Devki Group, for attempting to shoot at State Minister for Energy and Mineral Development Hon. Phiona Nyamutoro. The incident occurred while she was conducting a routine check on allegedly illegal mining activities in Kisoro District,”
