Following standing expetional at the CECAFA region women’s club chapionship, Fortebet Real Stars Monthly awards organisers found the high moment to appreciate two member of Kawempe Muslims Ladies’ Football club.
At the event held at Nanjing Restaurant in Kololo Kampala, Club captain Agness Nabukenya was recognized as the football in the month of August beat male players in Rechard Basangwa of NEC FC and Saidi Mayanja of KCCA FC.
Speaking on the award Nabukenya said,”I am very greatful that God has enabled me to win this accolade, it is a result of giving everything and is a big push for me together with fellow players.”
The top performing player helped her side to win the CECAFA regional Women’s Club Championship in Rwanda as she help the club to qualify for CAF Competition for the first time became the first club in Uganda to reached the stage.
Head coach Ayub Khalifah received a Lifetime achievement award recognizing his 25 year of which the most has been spent nurturing female football players. the accolade presented to him by Fortbet Representative Resty Mbatidde Namugema.
In other sports 22 year old Martrina Anyango of UCU was voted the best in women’s basketball after beating Brenda Kayaga and teenager Zoe Atek who continue raising her game in ranks
In Men’s Basketball, Nyembo Fataki Frank for leading Namuwonge Blaizers to the National Basketball League defence in Uganda was recognized as the best of August ahead Tony Drilleba and Patrick Rembert
Awarding event had Representatives from accolade designers Jude Colour Solutions in Loura Kahunde the Public Relations and Marketing officer along with Hakim Katongole while Real Stars Sports agency Cheif Executive officer Isac Mukasa continue to captain the project.
